Overview

Kim & Simona Axmann, both German, have lived in Tanzania for many years and since the early nineties have owned as well as run two organic farms specialising in spices and herbal teas located just outside Morogoro town.

The main crops include chili, moringa, lemongrass, and hibiscus, which are exported to the European health food markets and sell locally under the “African Infusions” label.

As well as the farms, Kim & Simona have developed some small-scale eco-tourism with their Mbuyuni Farm Retreat which is made up of several large, cosy bungalows and gorgeous home-cooked food using produce from the farm. This is a lovely stop-over we use to break the journey between Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve) and Saadani National Park.
