Overview
The Slipway is the best value option in one of the nicest areas to stay over in Dar es Salaam. It is a particular favourite of ours when guests have landed in Dar and need a place to overnight before driving north to Saadani National Park. The hotel is part of a large complex of boutique shops, a traditional souk, a supermarket, barclays bank, bookshop, chemist and bars and restaurants. It’s a nice place to recouperate after a long flight before the real adventure begins. The hotel has a nice open air swimming pool for guests and a good waterfront restaurant right by the sea.
The rooms are simple but the newer ones have nice sea views. We recommend it for its location.
