For some, the allure of Zanzibar has captured the imagination for years and with good reason.  It is one of the best destinations in the world for beaches as well as diving.  In Zanzibar you can deep sea fish in the morning and relax on white sand powder beaches in the afternoon, take a sunset dhow cruise for sundowners before dinner then explore historic Stone Town the next morning.  A visit to Zanzibar will not be complete without a trip to a spice farm which the island is famed for.  There is something for everyone.  If a wildlife safari is not your thing, head to Zanzibar’s beaches instead.

  • Day 1

    On arrival at Zanzibar airport, be instantly enchanted by the exotic allure of the famous 'Spice Island'.  Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Town; Zanzibar's oldest sector.  On arrival, you’ll meet your car and driver and be taken to your first stop, the lovely Maru Maru hotel. Relax for the rest of the day at the hotel or wander through narrow alleyways and marvel at colourful bazaars and pass beautiful and intricately carved traditional wooden doors of local houses and mosques.  Zanzibar Stone Town has barely changed since the early days of explorers and the now infamous slave trade and trade routes of old – this is a working town.  The architecture here has been shaped by generations of explorers and spice traders and provides many interesting photographic opportunities.

    This morning, you’ll head out on a fascinating historical walking tour.  In the afternoon, travel North to Nungwi and arrive at the small and intimate Zanzibari boutique hotel set on a rocky cliff with stunning views of the Indian Ocean

  • Day 3 - 5

    Settle into this lovely and friendly Zanzibar hotel for the next 3 nights.  The Zanzibari offers peace and tranquility but is only a ten minute walk or few minutes taxi ride from the more lively Nungwi village where most hotels are located.   The Zanzibari has a small SPA facility looking out to sea where you can enjoy body treatments, a massage or manicure/pedicure before heading back to the pool to relax.  Excursions are offered from the hotel including diving, snorkeling, sunset dhow cruises as well as visits to places of interest located in other parts of the island so you can enjoy its hidden treasures at your own pace.  The Zanzibari hotel has received consistent excellent plaudits for its food, tranquility and friendly atmosphere
