Overview

Lake Victoria is the largest of Africa’s Great Lakes with a surface area of just under 60,000 square kilometres. It was famously discovered by British explorer James Hanning Speke as the source of the Nile. Part of the lake is a stone’s throw from the western Ndabaka Gate of the Serengeti and fringe’s A Tent with A View’s Little Okavango Camp, arguably one of the best locations for birds in Tanzania.
