Day 1
Fly from Dar es Salaam to Mwanza in the north west of Tanzania on famous Lake Victoria. Transfer a few hours by road in time for a late afternoon canoe ride along the narrow water channels of Lake Victoria. -
Day 2
Awake early and head to the local fishing village for a guided tour. In the late afternoon, enjoy a guided bird walk or bike ride. -
Day 3
Head for a full day game drive in Serengeti national park ending at the Bush Rover Migration Camp. -
Day 4
Today, explore the Serengeti returning to the Bush Rover Camp between Game Drives. -
Day 5
After breakfast, leave at dawn and say goodbye to the Bush Rover Suites and head across the Serengeti, this time exploring the central areas of Seronera and crossing through the South Western gate arriving at Ndutu Safari Lodge in the evening. Dinner and overnight. -
Day 6
This morning, there will be the chance to explore the area on foot and in the company of a Maasai who runs this wonderfully atmospheric operation. You may visit the Oldupai gorge, famous for its fossil remains of some of the earliest hominids. After lunch, game drive through the beautiful landscape of the Ngorongoro conservation area stopping at the famous crater rim to marvel at the spectacle below. Dinner and overnight at Endoro lodge. -
Day 7
After breakfast drive past Mt Meru, Arusha town and on to West Kilimanjaro. This is a stunning area on the flanks of the great mountain with its own very unique atmosphere. Overnight at Kambi Ya Tembo Camp situated in Sinya, a private concession bordering the Amboseli National Park in Kenya. -
Day 8
After an early breakfast, leave the camp to enjoy herbivore-rich wildlife to include zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, gazelle, etc with the dramatic backdrop of Kilimanjaro, returning to the camp in the late morning and relax for the remainder of the day. -
Day 9
After breakfast, drive to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to the spice Island of Zanzibar. On arrival, you'll be met by your driver and transfer to Maru Maru, a lovely centrally-located hotel with a great roof top restaurant in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Town. -
Day 10
Head out on foot this morning with your guide for an historical walking tour of Stone Town taking in this melting pot of Indian, Arab and African culture. The afternoon is yours to wander through narrow alleyways and marvel at colorful bazaars and pass beautiful and intricately carved traditional wooden doors of local houses and mosques, barter for presents or head to the Indian Ocean waterside and watch the sun set with a sun downer before dinner ( own cost ) -
Day 11
After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar airport for your flight to Saadani national park, the only coastal wildlife preserve in East Africa. It has a few healthy lion prides, great elephant herds, zebra, giraffe, many antelope and leopard as well as hyena who have all adapted to their unique environment. Your guide will be waiting for you and game drive en-route to the beautiful Simply Saadani Camp situated on the beach. -
Day 12 - 14
Enjoy two days at Simply Saadani Camp, where you can either relax at the lodge, take a long walk along the white sand deserted beach, take one of four colour-coded nature walks, attend a talk on elephant conservation at the dedicated wildlife research centre at the camp or take a local canoe ride on the lodge’s very own creek which is fantastic for birdlife. Alternatively, head out into the park on safari, either by car, foot or boat on the Wami river (optional – extra cost). You can visit the wonderful Babs’ Camp, a 20 metre high viewing tower with 360 degree views of Indian Ocean and wild bush located in the heart of the best animal activity in the park. You can also overnight here is it’s available. You also have the option to take a walk up to the local fishing village of Mkwaja or visit the green turtle breeding beach in the next door Madete Marine Park (optional –extra cost) -
Day 15
Today after breakfast, say goodbye to the team Tent with a view and drive to Dar es Salaam international airport for your flight back home.
